We’ll be Supplying a Further 20 million Lateral Flow Tests to the UK Government

The UK government has ordered a further 20 million of our rapid coronavirus tests.

We are thrilled to be a British company supplying British-manufactured tests for COVID-19. The tests provide a result in under 30 minutes and have been validated by Public Health England (PHE), the first British test to do so. Results at the laboratory validation stage showed the tests had a sensitivity of 97.1% against high viral loads and 99.9% specificity. They have also been proven to detect the B117 variant, also known as the ‘Kent’ variant.

The Health and Social Care Secretary, Matt Hancock, said:

“Rapid lateral flow tests strengthen our national response to the virus significantly, helping us to identify the around 1 in 3 people who are asymptomatic and break chains of transmission in our workplaces and communities. It is excellent to be working with a UK firm to deliver millions more of these rapid tests.”
